The Waldorf=Astoria Cookbook
A DISTINCTIVE COLLECTION OF EXQUISITE TASTES

In the Fall 2006, the doors to The Waldorf=Astoria’s famed kitchens opened as the hotel debuts a brilliant new culinary tome—The Waldorf=Astoria Cookbook. Within its pages, the hotel’s kitchen brigade offers closely guarded trade secrets and share the recipes for innovative and exciting new dishes as well as treasured classics that built the hotel’s reputation as a gastronome’s delight.

For The Waldorf=Astoria Cookbook, Executive Chef John Doherty and his chefs poured through the hotel’s menus, past and present. They adapted old favorites and created new ones, just as they do every day for their patrons.

Inside the Cookbook
The Waldorf=Astoria Cookbook contains an abundance of recipes collected through the years and offered in the hotel’s private suites, ballrooms, restaurants, bars, and via room service. The hotel’s entire cadre of world-class culinarians participated in the process, offering favorite stories and cooking tips for inclusion. Over 200 photographs capture the visual impact of the Waldorf=Astoria’s extraordinary food, and the charm of its restaurants.
Distinctly Waldorf - The Hotel Gift Collection
For gastronomes, culinary collectors, historians, and fans of the hotel, The Waldorf=Astoria designed Distinctly Waldorf, the hotel's gift collection.  Each of these signature commemorative treasures reflects the finest craftsmanship and attention to detail. Choose from a unique collection of elegant knife sets to a combination of the kitchen brigade outfits. Every culinary item is either a personal, a function favorite or was selected by the hotel chefs for use in the hotel's kitchens. We hope you enjoy them many years to come.
